EASTER

“But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.”
We took the trail up, marked, Way of the Cross and walked its path, viewing the portrayals of Christ’s crucifixion made in bronze under the many crosses along the path. It focused on the Crucifixion of Christ, the true meaning of Easter.

This trail, Way of the Cross, ended with only half of the good news, that Jesus suffered and died for each and every one of us. The second half of the good news, the tomb is empty! Had Jesus’ body been taken down from the cross which He chose to go to, His body laid in the tomb and His flesh decayed to dust, Jesus would be just another historic account of a good man who’d done some amazing miracles in his life.
Our Easter celebration, is because of this second half of the good news, Jesus lives! His tomb is empty! HE IS RISEN! Death had no power over Jesus because He is the great I AM, the creator of life, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last” He is Savior for all who call upon His name for salvation. HAPPY EASTER everyone!

PETROGLYPHS

AFTER leaving the Red Hills Visitor Center we took a short drive over to the Petroglyphs in our area. We chose to access the Petroglyphs using the Redemptorist Renewal Center of Picture Rocks rather then walking the wash to view them. I’m glad we chose the Renewal Center this day to access the Petroglyphs. The Center’s path is a man made trail leading not only down into the wash to view the Petroglyphs but also a path which leads up the other side of the wash, called Way of the Cross. A visual reflection on the sufferings of Christ so incomprehensibly deep and God’s love so unfathomably vast, to reflect on Easter, April 4th this year. We strolled down the path to the Petroglyphs and enjoyed our time viewing them.
Even a kind stranger walked over and offered his assistance for a photo with Tucson. She seems to raise interest, make friends and spread her good cheer of goats wherever she goes.
And just like a goat........................................

DESERT IN BLOOM

The desert is just beginning to bloom!

Can see for miles

Yep, the song comes to mind, "I can see for miles and miles". It was a clear enough day to make out Mexico.

Saguaro National Park

Tucson will be leaving with Betty Henning on Friday, April 2nd for her continuing travels across the U.S. and possibly more International travel. Tucson has already been to Canada with Marshall and Trudy Losey and Porto Rico with Lisa Johnson.
I took Tucson out for a local site seeing adventure to curb her need for “Tucson” adventure and enjoy some fun time myself with her before her departure. It was a beautiful, warm Arizona day, March 29th, hitting a temperature high that day of 84 degrees, which was warmer then the average 78 degrees for this time of year.
"Now Tucson! You are not going to get there any faster then me by jumping up on the dash! You're such a goat!"

TUCSON traveled to the Saguaro National Park in Picture Rocks AZ., making a stop in the Red Hills Visitor Center. The center is free of charge and a beautiful representation of the Arizona southwest.

Saguaro NP Ranger Rena Bob was so kind! After I enjoyed a bit of looking around the center and soaking up a piece of the desert under glass, two Red Hills Visitor Center ladies joined Ranger Rena in the fun for a photo with me too!
